Cave biking
An exploration of the ancient Sibberg quarry.
Discover the mystery of the quarry.
Hello Adventurer!!! 40m below the village of Sibbe is an immense, still active corridor system. An ancient underground maze with a special history….
As you descend into the depths you can feel the changing atmosphere. Look through the ancient tunnels that extend in all directions and lead to…. yes, to what?
Now the adventure begins. The guide welcomes us, gives us the necessary instructions, the helmet goes on and off we go! During this exclusive mountain bike tour through the caves you will fall from amazement into amazement. Cave biking is a unique experience that you will not soon forget.
We discover together this great underground landscape, by cave bike! We cycle through the cave, going left, right, seeing a high ceiling, then low again, narrow, spacious, no idea where we are anymore. Would our guide still know the way?
Then we stop… Time for a short break! Some time to actually take in this scenery and discover the 40 meters deep hidden stories.
We get back on, back into the dark corridor system!
One by one we disappear into the earth-dark corridors on our cave bikes, back in time, exploring the ancient cave. A unique experience in an underground world.

Frequently Asked Questions
In the caves
What clothes are best to wear?
It is always 12 degrees in the caves. Nice and fresh in the summer, nice and warm in the winter!
We recommend putting on a thin cardigan/coat or sweater. Winter coats are definitely not necessary. Shorts in summer are not a problem.
The marl in the caves is easy to knock off your clothes, yet we recommend putting on clothes that are allowed to get dirty.
At the starting point there are coat racks for your own (composed) group. Here you can leave any coats and bags.
Are the caves low and narrow?
In general, one can stand and walk in the caves . The passages average 4 meters wide and around 1.90 high.
However, there are places in the corridors where it is slightly narrower and lower; the lowest point is 1.48. So in these places there is a need to bend down.
Will I get dirty/wet in the caves?
No, the caves are dry and clean. Marl can get on clothing, but marl dust can be easily knocked off.
Can I bring my own bike or cycling equipment (helmet, light)?
No. We want to ensure the safety of our participants at all times and therefore do not allow the use of your own cycling equipment in the cave.
What language does the guide speak?
All guides speak Dutch and English. The language of the tour depends on the wishes of the group.

Can people with claustrophobia also participate?
This varies from person to person and is difficult to answer this way, so we recommend contacting us by phone or email. We will be happy to discuss it briefly and give you personal advice.

This varies from person to person, so we recommend contacting our sales team by email or phone for personal advice.

Children under this height cannot ride safely on our cave bikes and are therefore unfortunately not allowed to participate. Also, no seats can be placed on the back of our bikes. We make no exceptions for safety reasons.
There is no maximum length.
However, it is important to be aware of the low corridors, with an average height of 1.90m.
